40 Students of First year BSc are placed in Jouve India
Annamalai University in association with Digiscape Gallery have organised a campus placement for Jouve India Private Limited, a French multinational digital publishing firm in Chennai. About 40 students of the B.Sc Digital Publishing who have just completed their first year are selected by Jouve India and the students have already started working as full time employees. The company also provided sponsorship to the selected students to continue their studies from their in-house University Learning Center in their spare time. Many more e-Publishing multinationals are also planning to recruit the B.Sc Digital Publishing students even before they complete their course.
The curriculum of the course offered by Annamalai University has been designed after a research for over two decades by India's Premiere Digital Publishing Training Academy `Digiscape Gallery’ in association with the CII (Confederation of Indian Industry) Publishing BPO Forum comprising over 150 leading e-Publishing companies in India as its members.
Candidates who have passed their Higher Secondary exams or 3 year diploma or degree holders are eligible to apply. Candidates who are awaiting results are also eligible to apply. Under graduates can also take up the course as the Dual degree program as DPUB is an online course. Home makers and employed people also can study the course in their convenient timing. The course pursuers will be conferred a B.Sc degree in digital publishing by Annamalai University after emerging successfully taking up exams at the end of each year of the on-the-job study program. At the end of every year, the students are also provided Diploma certificates to enable them in placements.
The DPUB course syllabus features 3 major publishing verticals in 3 years of study - Graphic Design and Print Publishing in the first year, Electronic Publishing in the second year, and Website Multimedia and E-learning in the final year. The syllabus will be updated every year by the CII Task Force to include emerging technologies like publishing for the iPad, Android, E-Books, Smart Mobiles, other Tablet devices like Kindle, etc.
The Annamalai University DPUB Learning Centers are available throughout Tamilnadu in all districts. Applications Forms are available at all CSC Centers in Tamilnadu for Rs.250. Classes will be conducted at all DPUB Learning Centers. Students can attend classes for about 6-8 hours per week in their own convenient time slots. Candidates enrolled in the program will also be given an online ID to facilitate learning from workplace and also while at home.
